State of Mississippi Department of Insurance Requirements

Licensees are required to complete 12 hours of continuing education annually in subjects pertaining to the type of license held.

Life/Accident/Health license holders must complete credit hours by December 31 of each year.

Property/casualty license holders must complete credit hours by May 31 of each year.

Exams must be monitored by a disinterested third party.

Courses are repeatable every 3 years.

Excess credit hours may not be carried forward.

Course provider is not responsible for reporting course completion to the state. Licensees must report completion.
